Stormwater Evaporation Systems for Industrial and Municipal Applications

Stormwater management presents one of the most persistent challenges for industrial operations, municipalities, and construction sites across the United States & globally. When stormwater comes into contact with industrial surfaces, storage areas, or contaminated land, it picks up pollutants that make conventional discharge impossible without extensive treatment. At Evaporation King, we provide a fundamentally different approach to managing contaminated stormwater. Rather than investing in costly treatment infrastructure to meet discharge permits, our enhanced evaporation systems eliminate the water entirely, turning problematic stormwater into vapor and leaving behind only minimal residual solids for disposal.

Contaminated stormwater accumulates in retention ponds, containment basins, and collection systems at mining sites, oil and gas facilities, chemical plants, and municipal operations throughout the United States & globally. Traditional management approaches involve hauling water offsite, building treatment plants, or applying for complex discharge permits. Each of these methods carries significant cost, regulatory risk, and operational burden. Our Gladiator series enhanced evaporation equipment offers a mechanical evaporation solution that dramatically accelerates the natural evaporation process, helping facilities manage stormwater volumes efficiently without discharge.

“Rather than treating stormwater to meet discharge permits, our systems eliminate the water entirely — turning it into vapor with no discharge, no permits, no violations.”

How Our Stormwater Evaporation Technology Works

We are a U.S. Florida and Colorado based designer, manufacturer, and global distributor of a proprietary line of evaporation equipment that uses advanced atomization technology to fracture water into ultra-fine water vapor. The way we fracture the water is very cost-effective compared to thermal evaporation or reverse osmosis systems. Our atomization systems operate at RPMs that no other system on the market can match while handling the challenging liquids found in stormwater applications. The droplet spectra we produce can handle the highest dissolved solids concentrations, ranging from 250,000 to 300,000 TDS (Total Dissolved Solids), which means even heavily contaminated stormwater poses no operational challenge for our equipment.

The process works by drawing contaminated stormwater from retention ponds or collection basins and propelling it through our proprietary atomization heads at extraordinary speed. The resulting water vapor consists of droplets so fine that they evaporate almost instantly upon contact with ambient air. This mechanical enhancement can increase natural evaporation rates by several multiples, making it possible to keep pace with stormwater inflow during storm seasons. We offer the most efficient equipment with the least amount of maintenance, which is critical for stormwater applications where systems must operate reliably during unpredictable weather events.

Zero Discharge
$0 in discharge permit costs — evaporation eliminates the need entirely
No effluent monitoring. No permit violations. No risk. When the water evaporates on-site, the regulatory burden evaporates with it.

Applications Across Industries

Stormwater evaporation needs vary dramatically across different sectors, and we produce various models for high and lower-volume applications to serve each one effectively. The Gladiator series, including models on the Gladiator 80 product page, represents our flagship line of enhanced evaporation equipment designed for Mining, Oil and Gas, Municipal, Chemical, and all other types of related industrial process wastewater verticals. Facilities face unique stormwater challenges depending on their industry and local climate conditions.

Key applications for our stormwater evaporation systems include:

Mining operations
Where stormwater collects heavy metals and acidic runoff from exposed rock and tailings.
Oil and gas facilities
Where stormwater mixes with hydrocarbons on pad sites and tank battery areas.
Municipal landfills
Where precipitation generates contaminated leachate that must be managed continuously.
Construction sites
Where dewatering activities produce sediment-laden water that cannot be discharged.
Chemical manufacturing plants
Where stormwater contacts storage and processing areas.

Advantages Over Conventional Stormwater Treatment

Conventional stormwater treatment systems require significant capital investment, ongoing chemical costs, skilled operators, and continuous regulatory compliance monitoring. Our evaporation approach eliminates discharge entirely, which means zero discharge permits, zero effluent monitoring, and zero risk of permit violations. The water vapor that our systems create solves all of the pain points associated with traditional stormwater management. Our equipment is proudly designed and manufactured in the USA, ensuring quality control and domestic supply chain reliability.

The operational advantages of choosing evaporation over treatment include:

01
No Discharge Permits
Elimination of discharge permits and associated regulatory compliance costs.
02
Simple Operation
Minimal operator training required due to simplified mechanical systems.
03
Rapid Deployment
Rapid deployment capability allowing mobilization before storm seasons begin.
04
Scalable by Design
Scalability through modular design enabling multiple units to work in parallel during peak inflow periods.
