A holding pond fills faster than expected. Trucking bills climb month after month. A disposal well reaches capacity, and a new one is not permitted anytime soon. Regulators send a letter about discharge limits. These are the moments when facility managers and process engineers start looking for a better way to reduce liquid waste volume. Wastewater evaporation is the answer, and at Evaporation King we build the equipment that makes it practical, affordable, and reliable across nearly every industry that produces process water.
We are the manufacturer of the Gladiator series enhanced evaporation equipment, designed for Mining, Oil and Gas, Municipal, Chemical, and all other types of related industrial process wastewater verticals. As a U.S. based designer, manufacturer, and global distributor with operations in Florida, Arizona, and Colorado, we deliver a proprietary line of evaporation equipment that turns a stubborn liquid waste problem into a controlled, on-site process. Wastewater Solved.
What Wastewater Evaporation Actually Does
Wastewater evaporation removes water from a waste stream by converting the liquid into vapor and releasing it into the atmosphere. What remains is a much smaller volume of concentrated solids or a reduced residual liquid. This is volume reduction at its most direct. Instead of hauling, storing, or injecting thousands of gallons of water, an operator can evaporate the water on-site and deal with only the small fraction that is left behind. For facilities that generate brine, leachate, or process water with high dissolved solids, this is often the only economical path to compliance and cost control.
The physical principle is simple, but doing it efficiently at industrial scale is not. The rate of evaporation depends on the surface area of water exposed to air, the temperature and humidity of that air, and wind movement across the surface. A still pond evaporates slowly. Our approach accelerates the process dramatically by breaking water into a fine mist and dispersing it into moving air, so that a huge amount of surface area is exposed at once. This is why our systems are frequently described as enhanced or accelerated evaporation rather than passive pond evaporation.
Inside the Atomization Technology
The core of every Gladiator system is our proprietary atomization technology. We spin wastewater through precision-engineered components at very high rotational speeds. This action fractures the liquid into microscopic droplets with an optimized droplet spectrum. The mist that we create is what solves the pain points that defeat other equipment. Once the water is atomized into this fine vapor, wind and ambient heat drive rapid evaporation. Because we use environmental energy instead of burning large amounts of fuel to boil water, the way that we fracture the water is very cost-effective.
The single most important technical advantage is our tolerance for extreme total dissolved solids. Our equipment handles the highest dissolved solids in the industry, rated for 250,000 to 300,000 TDS. These are hypersaline concentrations that would foul, clog, or destroy conventional treatment systems within a short period. We are the only atomization system that can achieve the RPMs we are running while still handling these liquids. That combination of speed and durability is what allows our droplet spectra to keep working where other machines fail.
This capability matters because many of the most difficult waste streams are also the most concentrated. When water has already been reduced through other processes, or when it comes from the ground carrying enormous salt loads, the remaining liquid is exactly the type that cannot be cheaply recycled or discharged. Enhanced evaporation fills that gap by providing permanent volume reduction regardless of how saline or difficult the water is.
The Benefits That Matter to Operators
Selecting an evaporation system comes down to a small number of factors that directly affect your bottom line. We designed the Gladiator series around these priorities so that operators can make a clear decision.
- Extreme TDS tolerance: Process wastewater with dissolved solids up to 300,000 without fouling or failure.
- Low operating cost: Leverage ambient wind and heat rather than expensive thermal fuel, keeping running costs well under one dollar per thousand gallons on electric units and near zero on solar.
- Minimal maintenance: Fewer moving failure points mean less downtime and predictable costs across the life of the equipment.
- Rapid deployment: Trailer-mounted configurations let you mobilize equipment to a new site quickly instead of building fixed infrastructure.
- American made: Our equipment is proudly designed and manufactured in the USA, backed by domestic engineering and support.
- Scalability: Match a compact unit to a small pond or array multiple large units for high-volume operations.
These advantages combine into a lower total cost of ownership. We offer the most efficient equipment with the least amount of maintenance, and that efficiency is what makes on-site evaporation more attractive than trucking, deep-well injection, or ever-expanding pond storage. A typical payback period compared to hauling and underground disposal is often under twelve months.
Industries and Applications We Serve
Wastewater evaporation is not limited to one sector. Any operation that accumulates liquid waste it cannot easily discharge or reuse is a candidate. Evaporation King LLC serves a broad range of industries with the same core technology, adapted to each application.
In mining, tailings ponds and process water carry heavy dissolved metals and salts that need volume reduction. In oil and gas, produced water and flowback brine come to the surface in volumes far exceeding the oil itself, and disposal well capacity is tightening across many basins. Municipal facilities and wastewater treatment plants use our equipment to manage residual streams and reduce the burden on their existing processes. Chemical plants generate complex, variable effluent that benefits from robust, fouling-resistant evaporation. Food and beverage producers, bio and pharmaceutical manufacturers, textile mills, and waste management operations such as landfills all generate streams that our systems handle well.
Landfill leachate, stormwater accumulation, lagoon reduction, and zero liquid discharge programs are all common use cases. We produce various models for high and lower-volume applications and distribute them factory direct and through an international network of independent dealers, strategic partners, and distributors. This reach means operators across the United States & globally and around the world can access dependable equipment and support.
The Gladiator Product Lineup
Every Gladiator model shares the same proprietary atomization technology and the same 300,000-plus TDS tolerance. The difference between models is throughput, so the right choice depends on the volume of water you need to reduce and the size of your pond or tank.
The Gladiator 60S is our off-grid solar option, rated at 60 GPM with essentially zero operating cost. It runs on 100 percent solar power with optional grid backup, making it ideal for remote sites where fuel and grid access are impractical. The Gladiator 80 is our high-efficiency electric entry-level commercial unit at 80 GPM, delivering maximum throughput in a minimal footprint for sites with grid access. The Gladiator 120 raises capacity to 120 GPM, suited to most operations that need high volume without compromise. At the top of the range, the Gladiator 720 processes 720 GPM for the largest wastewater volumes and industrial-scale evaporation needs.
All electric models operate at under one dollar per thousand gallons, feature trailer-mounted portability, adjustable masts, auto shutoff, built-in walkways, Weather Droplet Control compatibility, and modular stackable designs for multi-unit arrays. Rather than force a single unit onto every application, we help you match the system to your pond and your production rate.
Looking Ahead With Evaporation King
Regulations continue to tighten and water recycling mandates continue to grow, yet not every waste stream can be economically treated for reuse. Hypersaline and highly contaminated liquids often cannot meet discharge or reuse standards at any reasonable cost. Enhanced mechanical evaporation fills that permanent gap by reducing volume no matter how difficult the water is. We continuously refine our atomization technology to deliver greater throughput and reliability so that our customers stay ahead of both operational and regulatory pressure.
If your facility is wrestling with rising disposal costs, limited storage, or a waste stream that conventional treatment cannot handle, we would like to help you find the right configuration. Talk to an engineer at Evaporation King, and let us show you why operators choose our equipment for the toughest wastewater conditions. Wastewater Solved.
